Brian Marwood insists that City will mount a serious challenge to win the Carling Cup this season. City last won this trophy in 1976 thanks to Dennis Tuert’s overhead kick.

A simple statement on Man City’s official website reads, “Following allegations made to the football club by Dr Anthonia Onuoha, subsequently reported in today’s media, the Club can confirm that a board led review has been launched into the matter.”
